Mountain DragonThe Society's Management Committee is responsible for the overall running of the organisation with the "nuts and bolts" of our conservation work done by our subcommittees. Subcommittees other than those listed below are created from time to time to undertake specific projects or to respond to emerging issues.

Protect Our National Parks (Alan Page)- identify and address threats to the Greater Blue Mountains' national parks and state conservation areas. The most significant currently being the proposal to raise the Warragamba Dam wall.
- promote the qualities and conservation values of the Greater Blue Mountains' national parks and state conservation areas
- identify and campaign for additions to the national park estate - particularly inholdings such as Katoomba Airfield.

Save Our LEP Rally (Rob Linigen)It's also on the look out for activities that contravene environmental laws and regulations - like land clearing and dumping.
The Land Use Subcommittee -
- has been actively involved in reviewing Local Environment Plans since the early 1990's
- is involved in various campaigns
- prepares a dozen or so submissions each year.
